January 9th, 2019 marks my 15th anniversary in the rap game...

you can take a hip-hopper out of hip-hop but you can't take the hip-hop out of 'em

TDT Write-Up:

"December 23, 2018" is quite minimalist. The outer shell are some windy electronics that's volume swells subtly. They remind me of the sound of one recording wind on a phone, cutting the bass and treble, then boosting the mids a bit. It sets the table nicely. What we hear intertwined with this sheen is some indistinct talking, similar to that which is in the core of this piece (In fact, the outer voice sounds like a distorted delay of the center voice).

The central vocal sounds akin to something one could hear on talk back radio of some kind, or perhaps a concurrent news station. I am pretty positive it isn't English being spoken, but what language it is I can't make out.

The cover well embodies the vibe of this release, cold, distant and somewhat robotic. I highly recommend sitting down with this one.
