"Splintered Wooden Candy Of The Ancients" under the name Compact Grit is the first thing I ever recorded when it comes to experimental music. Both tracks were recorded in the early evening on the 26th of March, 2015.
I don't entirely know what I was going for with these, it's mostly just me poorly improvising on my first bass, down tuning a lot, and generally making a racket. The first track is vaguely doomy I suppose. The second is way more aimless.
I suppose this is a time capsule of sorts, but it certainly isn't a very good one. Its boring and aimless to me, but of course I'm going to be far more critical of myself. It certainly doesn't live up to the nonsensical and kind of pretentious titles I gave it all.
I chose not to edit out me fucking around with my phone while it was recording considering that it's sort of funny. The cover is really the only thing that doesn't suck, but even then, it's average.
