Throughout it you hear notes and scales coming through, so there may be an arpeggiator involved.
Around the 11:30 mark it begins its trawling funeral march that continues for the rest of the piece. Walls of reverbed noise and synths lull one into a deathly space. It moves into more of a conventional harsh noise place as it begins to close, sometimes some samples ring through to add a little clarity to the madness, and to hammer home the kind of depressing sensation.
