As I'm not all that familliar with the more rhythmic electronic genres, I'm not going to attempt to label KNOWNOT this or that. It stands on its own anyway.

SONP - KNOWNOT first and foremost gives me really dystopian futurist vibes; something out of the Blade Runner play book. It also reminds me of Colin Stetson's Reborn from the Hereditary soundtrack, the unnerving lead saxophone in that hits me in the same place as this track when it hits.

There is a consistent pulse in KNOWNOT that holds it together, also being a big part of why this feels like it could hold its own accompanying a gritty sci-fi. There are repeating synth stabs that drive this too, again taking it to a science fiction area. I see it best playing alongside the presentation of an overtly technological city. Establishing shots with the camera floating around, showing one the dark side to the metropolis.

However, I repeat that this piece stands on its own, in fact I'd want to hear an album of this vibe and style, as SONP is very proficient at such.
